Fees
Application fee – $150 (AUD) non-refundable
Course fees – Course fees must be paid prior to commencement of the course. Our average course fees is $2600 per term. Discounts on the full course fee are offered through our premium agents.
The Australian government requires international students studying on a student visa to be covered for medical and health care with an approved Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) provider. The current cost is $342 per annum for a single person.
Course Delivery at ACET
Term Intake dates
We operate over 2 terms of 20 weeks across the year. Course four intakes a year and there are regular mid term intakes depending on the subjects you are studying. Students study for a minimum of 20 hours per week in a flexible timetable, mornings, afternoons or evenings.
Course Delivery
Every course at ACET consists of a number of units of competency. These are delivered by qualified trainers with industry experience in a combination of lectures, tutorial sessions, practical computer lab, project work and self paced learning.. The details of units you will study are listed on our website. You will receive notes, exercises and CD’s to complete your work. Textbooks where required are purchased by students. We use up to date software applications and computers that reflect current business practices.
Academic Course Progress
Students are required to successfully complete various tests, examinations, projects and practical demonstrations of technique. The assessment tasks and dates are set out in the subject outlines that you receive at the start of each subject.
Your academic course progress will be recorded by the teacher and submitted to the VET Course Co-ordinator. You receive feedback on your results for every assessment.
If your academic performance is not satisfactory you will be counselled under our Course Progress procedures. We will support students where possible to achieve their best academic standard.
Course Progress is Reviewed at the half way and end of a subject
Most subjects are assessed half way and at the end of the subject. The assessment records are entered at Week 6, 12, 18 and Week 21 (exam week).
Student must maintain a minimum 50% satisfactory performance in a subject
Academic progress will be marked within each subject. Marks and recorded and weighted for:
- Completion of written assessment activities
- lectures and tutorials where assessment will occur such as oral assessments and practical tutorial assessments.
- Completion of examinations
- Completion of practical projects
Teachers will complete the end of subject results report for every student.
Recognition of previous qualifications and prior learning and experience.
Students who think they may be eligible for credit or advanced standing should apply. First talk to the Marketing Manager about your experience. If successful, your course and fees will be adjusted on a case by case basis. There is a separate recognition application fee. More details are available on our website
